Non-governmental organization (NGO) is a legally constituted organization under different prevailing laws in Pakistan.. It is created by natural or legal persons that operates independently from any form of government. It is referred to organizations that are not a part of the government and are not conventional for-profit business.
The number of internationally operating NGOs is estimated at 40,000. As NGOs are not for profit organizations, they have to comply with more complex laws and reporting. On the other hand NGOs operations are not as normal as for a profit making company, their work is more dynamic and complex that sometimes hinders them to focus on core operations.
